Neoprene Coating

A heavy-duty elastomeric coating known for its flexibility, impact resistance, and durability in harsh marine and coastal environments. Neoprene coatings protect pipelines and steel structures against mechanical damage, saltwater, and UV radiation. Frequently used on offshore risers, jetties, and submerged structures, the coating maintains performance even under dynamic loading, wave action, and constant moisture exposure. It also provides vibration damping and resistance to marine organisms.

Product Description

An elastomer coating that is commonly used in risers of oil & gas platforms, it is wrapped around pipelines and goes through a vulcanisation process to further enhance its elasticity.

Features & Benefits

– Offers protection against corrosion, abrasion and impact
– Resistant to UV, ageing, oxidation
– Anti-fouling components can be integrated to reduce marine growth

Applications

– Offshore risers in oil and gas platforms
– Also known as splashzone coating, it is widely used in the harsh and highly corrosive splashzone areas
