Fusion Bonded Epoxy

A thermosetting powder coating applied to preheated steel surfaces using an electrostatic spray process. Upon curing, it forms a tough, durable film that bonds tightly to the substrate. FBE coatings provide outstanding resistance to chemicals, abrasion, and cathodic disbondment. Commonly used for external pipeline protection and internal lining in various industries, including water, oil, and gas. It’s suitable for both standalone use or as a primer in multi-layer coating systems like 3LPE and 3LPP.

Product Description

FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy) coating is a powder coating commonly used for its anti-corrosion properties. It can be applied in a single or double layer, and the coating can be applied with differentiated thickness as required by the client.

Features & Benefits

– Strong adhesion to steel
– Excellent resistance to cathodic disbondment
– Lower application costs than multi-layer systems

Applications

– Where pipelines are not exposed to severe mechanical stresses, and corrosion protection is the main concern
– For pipelines operating at higher temperatures (up to 100°C) but less aggressive environments, eg low-salt soils or moderate climate areas
